We provide free legal advice for women in Western Australia.

NPY program for women

Through a partnership with the NPY Women’s Council Domestic Violence Service we provide women in the Ngaanyatjarra, Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands (NPY Lands) in the Gibson Desert region with ongoing legal advice and assistance.

A large part of our work in this region deals with assisting women to apply for violence restraining orders and providing legal advice around criminal injuries compensation claims.

Working closely with other agencies such as the WA Police, Child Protection and Family Support and the Kalgoorlie Magistrates Court, we align our visits with court circuit sittings in Warburton and Warakurna.

Our aim is to provide further community legal education to both service providers and clients in the NPY Lands.

For more information on our services to assist Aboriginal women please contact us.
