Each partner will specialise in the provision of services to particular target groups, whilst allowing victim and survivor choice.

  • WLSWA will specialise in the provision of services to women who have experienced sexual violence. Many WLSWA clients have experienced sexual violence, predominantly within a family and domestic violence context.
  • AFLS will specialise in the provision of services to Aboriginal people who have experienced sexual violence, including childhood sexual abuse and sexual violence within a family and domestic violence context.
  • RLS will specialise in the provision of services to those who have experienced sexual violence and who identify as male, or non-binary, and/or are part of the LGBTQIA+ community and seek a Rainbow Tick accredited service.

There will be ‘no wrong door’ for people who engage with our service, and all partners are committed to championing victim and survivor autonomy and voice.

How we help

We provide free, confidential and independent legal advice to people who have experienced sexual violence in Western Australia. Our services are independent from the police and government lawyers.

We give victims and survivors the advice and information they need to feel empowered when making legal decisions. We focus on the experience of victims and survivors of sexual violence and provide a safe space that is trauma informed and culturally secure.

Where we cannot help, we link with other services who might be able to.

What we help with

  • Identifying when an incident of sexual violence has occurred
  • Legal options after experiencing sexual violence
  • How to make a police report
  • What to expect after a police report is made
  • Victim-survivor voice during the criminal justice process
  • What to expect after the court process has finished
  • Understanding legal terms
  • Help connecting with the right people and services
  • Assisting with related issues impacting your wellbeing
