WLSWA is looking for a senior family lawyer. The successful applicant will support gender equality and share our passion for a legal system that is safe, supportive & responsive to the needs of women.
Women’s Legal Service WA is a specialist community legal centre providing gender-specific and trauma informed free legal assistance to women in Western Australia. We work to redress inequalities in the legal system that adversely and disproportionately affect vulnerable women by providing quality information, advice and supports in family and domestic violence, family law, child protection and compensation for criminal injuries matters. We deliver these services in collaboration with our sector partners.
WLSWA is looking for a senior lawyer, passionate about working with women and making a difference and who is experienced in family law, to join our service. This position is currently funded to 30 June 2022, with a probable extension. Whilst this is close to a full-time position, there is also provision to configure part-time arrangements between successful applicants. A secondee arrangement will also be considered.
In addition to the opportunity to join a great team, we offer flexible working conditions, employee assistance program, opportunity to salary sacrifice, and additional paid leave between Christmas and new year.
The successful applicant will support gender equality and share our commitment for women’s education and empowerment within the legal system to reshape and improve outcomes in their lives. Taking initiative, problem solving and a ‘can do, will do’ attitude will ensure the position holder is empowered to work autonomously.
